I think every business owner deserves to actually understand their own numbers — not just get handed a report full of words you'd have to Google. I've spent two decades doing books for restaurants, contractors, vets, artists, nonprofits, and just about everyone in between, and the truth doesn't change: your finances aren't confusing because you're bad at this. They're confusing because nobody's ever explained them to you in plain English.

That's what I do. And if you want to learn to do some of it yourself along the way, even better — I'm not here to be the only person who understands your books.

Hi, I'm Amber!

I started Maple Arrow because I kept meeting business owners who'd built something out of a dream — a passion they turned into a livelihood — and then found themselves flying blind on the numbers side of it. That's the gap I started my business to fill, in plain English, no jargon required.

Small business runs in my family — we've had a few here in Delton over the years — so there's something full-circle about being the next one to open a business in this town, this time with my name on the door! You’ll find my office has big front windows with hand-drawn chalk gnomes on the glass, and when you visit the office, you’ll very likely meet Hunter, my chocolate lab, he takes his greeting duties very seriously.

Outside the office, I love adventures and usually finding something to do with animals (horses might be my other great love, right after spreadsheets lol), or out on a hiking trail with a Hallmark movie queued up for when I get home!
